A Note from the Founder
As a documentary filmmaker, I know what it means to capture a moment that is about to disappear.
I come from a big family. We cook together, linger at the table long after the meal is over—what we call sobremesa—and tell stories.
Every family has a dish. The one everyone remembers. The one only one person knows how to make.
I wanted to preserve all of it. Not just the recipes, but the voices. The way my mom says, “Just a little bit of this.” The sounds of the kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. The stories that live behind every dish.
That is why I built Raconta.
Not simply to organize recipes, but to preserve the people, memories, and stories that make them meaningful.
